Weighing approximately 315g, the NIKKOR Z DX 18-140mm f/3.5-6.3 VR provides a minimum focusing distance of 0.2m at its maximum wide-angle position and excellent maximum reproduction ratio of 0.33× at the maximum telephoto position, allowing users to shoot a diverse selection of scenes hassle-free. By utilising the short minimum focus distance, it eliminates the need to keep a further distance from the subject and broadens the range of expression, allowing users to capture dynamic imagery when zoomed in for a close-up shot or zoomed out for a wide-angle shot, constantly in high-resolution.
With the in-lens Vibration Reduction (VR) system of up to 5.0-stops², photographers can effectively counter camera shake at lower shutter speed, allowing users to focus on framing their shots to acquire sharp images. Perfect for users to prioritise their efforts on framing the shots while the in-lens VR works hard to acquire sharp images. For flexibility, when using the Z 50 or Z fc camera, users will be able to activate Dual Detect Optical VR³ when paired with a VR-equipped lens which further reduces the chance of blurring.

The NIKKOR Z DX 18-140mm f/3.5-6.3 VR is able to render images excellently while minimising chromatic and spherical aberration, with the adoption of the extra-low dispersion (ED) glass and aspherical lens elements respectively.
