These factors are typically sacrificed in other travel tripods. The uniquely shaped 6-sided flat telescopic tripod legs are crafted from aluminium which are light, ridged and have a good strength-to-weight ratio. The large 35mm ball head, knobs and locking screws are all made from high-quality aluminium, making them strong, durable, and lightweight. The uniquely hexagon shaped centre column drops into the chassis through an embedded locking base, increasing stability and improving looks. At only 1.8 kilograms, it is light and compact, yet super sturdy and strong, designed to be your perfect all-day professional companion. BALL HEAD

This tripod is supplied with a large 35mm diameter low-profile ball head, machined from solid aluminium alloy and anodized in K&F’s beautiful signature orange. This 35mm ball size is ideal for professionals using pro cameras and lenses. The solid feel and secure locking of the head is reassuring when supporting expensive gear. Ball heads are simple to use and ideal for framing up that perfect shot quickly. Simply free the head, make your adjustments and then precisely lock your camera in that position with little effort using the aluminium lever. The ball head securely locks in place, ensuring stability with no movement. This ball head can lock up to a 15kg load, without compromising stability, which is more than most camera setups weigh. The head has a smooth fluid pan action that adjusts a full 360-degree for those beautiful panoramic shots. With handy degree markings on the head, allowing you to accurately pan, perfect for landscape photography. The head has a very convenient, built-in spirit level that is ideal for quickly setting your camera perfectly horizontal when required.

EXTRA CAMERA PLATE INCLUDED

As an added bonus, all official K&F Photography Tripods come with an extra quick release base plate, yes 2x Camera Plates with 2x ¼” screws are included in the package. This is really handy if shooting with multiple camera bodies or maybe wanting to mount it to a light if you are using your tripod as a light stand occasionally. Or most importantly by simply having a spare camera plate in your K&F camera bag, might just save your day. The base plate can slide forwards or backwards to assist with better camera balance, however the plate is also designed so that it cannot slide completely out protecting your camera from falling. A 3/8” to ¼” adapter is also included for the few accessories that use the larger thread size.

LEGS

The Legs on this tripod are a feature in themselves with their futuristic design, shape, and strength. The flat Hexagon shaped legs have three main advantages, firstly rigidity and strength due to the angles and the quality of the extruded aluminium used. Secondly this shape also forms a very slim and compact fold-down diameter of only 68mm with a carry length of 50cm, making it perfect for transporting in hand luggage or a backpack when traveling. A third point of this leg shape besides all the practical functionality is that they just look fantastic! The 5 leg stages are extended through K&F’s custom design flip-lock system allowing for a quick and secure height adjustment. The flip-locking levers used are super quick and easy, and the extra length design makes them easier to use than traditional clips. The legs open out to give you a well-supported and stable shooting platform. The push clips at the top of the leg allows for a quick adjustment, choosing between 3 adjustable footprint sizes. The legs also have the ability to open wide allowing you to get the camera closer to the ground. This function comes in handy when shooting landscapes with low foreground or a reflection in a pond. Aluminium is a lightweight material, yet it is very strong and durable and with the custom leg design and 35mm ball head, the tripod can support up to 15kg’s without compromising its stability. The dynamic custom designed 5-sided rubber feet, purpose built for this tripod can change angle so no matter the tripods footprint, the feet are placed sturdily on the ground, allowing extra grip and adaptability to best accommodate uneven surfaces. When the legs are closed, the feet neatly come together and fit into a compact triangle shape.

CENTRE COLUMN

Another unique feature of this tripod is the Hexagon shaped sliding centre column. This design hugely increases rigidity and stability in this height adjustable column. In many tripods the centre column is a point of instability, K&F have identified this problem and implemented an innovative solution with their angled shape column. The Hexagon shape of the centre column matches up perfectly to the same shaped slot at the mounting point on the chassis. This allows the column to slide, yet limiting instability once securely tightened. By extending the centre column you will reach the perfect height for comfortable eye-line photography. The tripod has another wonderful feature for macro photography enthusiasts. The column can also be removed quickly by pushing the little push-button and then by inverting it, you can mount your camera below the tripod chassis for macro or other close-to-ground shots. This provides a stable and secure shooting platform, millimetres off the ground. The base of the centre column is equipped with a uniquely shaped custom gear hook. A dedicated weight or even your gear bag can then be hung from the centre column as a counterweight for added stability. The stabilizing counterweight provides a valuable and safe option on windy days. With the legs and centre column fully extended, your camera can reach an impressive height of 179cm.

At the top collar of the tripod where the legs come together, there is a ¼-inch internal screw thread, ideal for connecting multiple accessories, all within a functional range. Included in the kit is a well-padded quality carry bag and shoulder strap designed to protect your tripod and its good looks when on the move.
